People ask me fairly often if I ever do green smoothies in the morning. I do... it's just really rare. Normally when I do them, it's to shake things up, or use excess greens in the fridge. Sometimes I am gifted some greens and will make green smoothies but overall, I just prefer fruit for breakfast and salads at night...

If you enjoy green smoothies, that's 100% awesome! But if you want something simple, sweet and fruity, this is the smoothie for you!
Grape Candy Smoothie
Prep time: 5 minutes
Gadgets needed: Vitamix or any blender
3 cups black or purple grapes
2 cups fresh de-stemmed strawberries (or leave the stems on for extra greens)
2 frozen ripe spotted bananas
1 lemon, juiced
Optional ingredient: a small chunk of beet root for more colour
• The day before your smoothie, peel and freeze your bananas.
• Thoroughly was your grapes and strawberries.
• Juice the lemon with a reamer into the high speed blender.
• When you are ready, blend the frozen bananas, grapes, strawberries and lemon juice with about 1-2 cups of water, depending on your personal desired consistency.
